Fly Carpin

Went upstream today to pappy's river-walk and decided to throw on a bare s16 hook after catching a couple 12 inch trout. Walked up to the top and tossed a quarter in the machine and got a couple handfuls of fish food. Me and a friend of mine worked and worked and finally got the fish food on a hook and it was on. I caught 2 and my friend missed a couple. We stuck with em for a good 5 hours. We each missed 10 or 12. The big 9 or 10lb carp will really show you what your backing is for. We decided to ditch the leaders and just tie on some 12lb test and and they were still popping it off. If you have ever been to pappy's on the Gainesville hiway you know what I am talking about. Headed to coopers creek early tomorrow morning and try to catch a few to throw in the smoker for my birthday. If you are ever going to be passing by pappy's throw the fly rod in the back you won't be disappointed.
