Went to hunt my lock on this morning & it started raining so I wimped out and went and got in my box stand on the powerline @ 8:30 this morning around 9:15 I heard a limb break in front of me. Then I heard grunt............grunt.......here came a doe completely out of breath so I got the gun up expecting to see a small buck and hoping for the big un. Well it was the BIG-UN he ran across chasing her 
I managed to get a shot but never touched him, my freaking scope was on 9 and I've been kicking myself in places I shouldn't 
but will be hot after him the rest of the season. This would of been my best in Talliaferro County 
Was a learning experience I won't soon forget........put scope to 4 or 5 until it needs to be turned up. The worst part is she ran off and then a 4-pter ran her back out and stopped in the middle of the powerline broadside and then walked 150 yds staight up the center of it..........I guess thats why the other one got so big
