SoCal bear bowhunt in D14

Westy and I were out Sunday to check a couple of our bear and deer spots here in Southern CA. It was the last day for archery bear season too. Not seeing much sign in the normally good spots, the fire maybe in Oak Glen or the drought the cause?

The acorns look good.

Found this sign near a trail we walked in on. No idea what S&M Black Bear chili is.

This huge oak tree was almost all gone at the base except for a 1 foot thick part and yet it still had leaves and acorns.
