Does anybody have bears they need shot?

I have been wanting to kill a bear for some time now. I've never killed one and have been trying to find a place. Anyone have any private land. Maybe we could swap a hunt or if its cheap I might be willing to pay

There are plenty of bears on the mtn wma. I have seen bears on every trip I've made so far.

It's open for archery season to the public, you need a WMA stamp, hunting license and big game license. Blue Ridge, Cuhutta, Chestatee, Chattahoochee, Coopers Creek, Dukes Creek, Swallow Creek, and Warwoman are some places that are good. Just be sure to check the archery dates for each WMA. Best thing to do and you should have already done is to do a little preseason scouting.

The pressure all depends. It depends on how far back you want to get. The weekends would probably be more pressured due to the weekend warriors. I hunt during the weekdays

Bolt, it's none of my buisiness, and I'm sure Currahee doesn't expect it, and maybe you already plan to, but if I were you, and I took one of these bears he sooooo graciasly layed in your lap, I would buy the man a nice skinning knife or something as a thanks. He puts in a lot of work looking for game and is being overly accomidating to you especially considering you didn't have to lift a finger. Hook the man up, he deserves it. AND, if you dont kill one then you should at least buy him lunch. Good luck, and lets see some pics if you get one.

He don't owe me nothing, the place is covered up with bears anyways. My brother and a friend of his and myself went up there today. They both saw a bear and my brothers buddy had a big one walk right up to him at 8 yards but he was so tore up he couldn't shoot plus it was coming head on at him so he didn't have a good shot. I may go up in the morning and try to get a shot on him.

I have thought the same thing. Currahee has been awful nice to me. He's never met me but he has been gracious with his knowledge of bear hunting. It makes you feel good to know that there are hunters out there like Currahee who work their tails off scouting and are willing to give a novice bear hunter like myself advice and information. I plan on getting up there real quick. I would like to meet the man and shake his hand.

Nice to hear man. Good luck. When I first started turkey hunting I made a life long friend. Good sportsman and heck of a generous guy. The first time I killed a bird on a spot he turned me on to, he got a pocket knife. The second he got a skining knife. Now we are in the woods together scouting those birds. I like this attitude you guys are showing. Good sportsmen make good nieghbors. I was going to hunt a bear with the group that went to Brasstown Bald but got called into work. I have never hunted bear and was really looking forward to it. Maybe I will get a chance to hunt the bear woods soon.
