If you're going to hunt from an elevated stand/platform, wear a safety harness. If not for yourself, for your family and friends that will have to mourn your loss, or feed you after you fall.

I've already got one best friend in a wheel chair and I dont need to read about another!

If you agree with this post a "ditto" and keep it at the top for a few weeks. Good hunting!

DITTO!
Safety gear takes but very little time and effort to use!
Folks, please don't find youself in a hospital bed with plenty of time to think about the choice you made!

And let me add this: Wearing a safety harness does you NO good unless you are clipped in. Clipping in once you are up in the stand is stupid!! I can live with climbing a ladder, but you must be clipped in or tied off before making the transition in/out of a lockon. No exceptions. I always carry a linemans rope, just in case I need to make a makeshift tie off to get into the stand.
