Has anyone fished Water's Creek or Smithgall Woods lately? Thinking about going tomorrow morning but didn' know if it'd be worth the time. Browns should be biting good right now!

Both are fishing great. Waters creek was completely flushed out so all that sediment is gone. Infact, the old beaver Edited to Remove Profanity ----Edited to Remove Profanity ----Edited to Remove Profanity ----Edited to Remove Profanity ---- is gone but the beavers are right back at it. Dukes hasn't slowed down.....Both require stealth but I'm assuming you know that based on the question.

Depends on water clarity. If dirty or stained, a SJ is a great dropper behind a hares ear. If clear, go small, go small.

I fished Dukes Wednesday morning with a client. We caught some fish on section 1 with olive caddis emergers and yuk bugs. Yeah a weird combo but they ate both. However it was crowded and they had the good pools staked out pretty good so get there early. However, did catch lots of wild rainbows on a small stream close by on a Turks Tarantula in the afternoon. Good luck.
