Im going to southeast Iowa for the first shotgun/muzzeloader season...I have a T/C firehawk muzzeloader, it only shoots 100 gr of powder...i shoot a 250gr shockwave and at 100 yrds i shoot 2" groups consistantly, I want to know do I need one of the new fancy muzzeloaders??..I heard you get better groups at 100-110 grains of powder vs 150???...i feel very confident w/ mine at 150yrds...but will it have enough knockdown??? any suggestions?

I beleave if you feel confident in the gun then use it. 2 '' group aren't bad. Most everybody that is hunting with a "new or newer" muzzleloader is shooting 100 grs. powder anyways. Just my .02 cents. Good luck

you will be just fine. 100 grains (if accurate) is more than enough to kill any deer on the planet at 150 yards

congrats on the upcoming trip!
