Freezer temp?

I have have an upright (not frost free) freezer. What is the best temp to keep it at that will prevent freezer burn and reduce frosting (if that's possible) and still keep food for 1-2 years?

Thanks.

I keep mine below 0 and -10. That works best.

To reduce frosting, I have 2 deep freezers. One is frost free and I use that one for items we use the most. The other (not frost free: it was a customer return and was on clearance which is why I bought it) I keep it for bulk storage. I only open it to move meat to the other freezer occasionally. The more you open the door, the more frost you get.

0 degrees or below.

The best protection against freezer burn is sealed packages, and vacuum sealing is the best of all.

Frosting really depends on how often you open it. If you open it infrequently, it shouldn't frost up that much.

Thanks for the replies guys. I didn't think I could do much about the frost but I will bump up the temp to 0 .
