I'm pretty sure a few years ago it was determined that far too many hunters were leaving the Thursday - Sunday hunts on Saturday nights and leaving Sundays very low in hunters remaining - The decision was made to do the hunts Wed - Sat in order to keep more hunters actually on the hunts for the duration...

Whatever day the hunt ends on, there is always a very small percentage of hunters still there on the last afternoon. Doesn't seem to matter what day that is, but it was worse when they ended Sunday. How many of your wives are going to let you go hunting ALL weekend every weekend? I know mine wouldn't. And about the church thing, a lot of the guys working those hunts go to church, too. Speaking as one who used to do that, I missed enough Sunday mornings checking deer coolers, it would have stunk to do it to work a hunt that everyone left!
