My Kodiak Alaska Trip

My wife and I went to Kodiak island in sept of 09 to do some black tail deer hunting and fishing. I have a friend who is staitoned up their and we were able to stay with him and he knew just where to go for some good silver fishing but the deer hunting was different. It was still warm so the bucks were still up high and the weather would not cooperate with us but it was beautiful on the days we planned to go fishing go figure.

Man DMH,your a lucky dog!I've always wanted to see Alaska.Trying now to save up enough $ now to try and go carribou hinting with my wife there.The pictures are awsome!I guess you and the world have heard about Capt. Phil of the Cornillia Marie...Safe Passage Capt.Too bad you weren't able to find any Blacktails but I'm sure the senery,fishin' and other wildlife made up for it!

Those are great! My best friend was stationed up there back in the 90's and always invited me to come up. But with kids and work never was able to.... what a trip to take.

I will be going back up their this year in november when they are in rut so it should bring them down off the tops. The last pic of a boat the shadow fax it is my friends girlfriends brothers boat her whole family fishes they have 2 boats and I got to go out on the shadow fax while I was their and I deffinitely dont have sea legs for that rough water I was all over the place. I have my heart set on killing a black tail so I was able to con my wife into letting me go back up their by myself so hopefully it will work out.
