on a sad note....3 Wilkes County does lost their lives today due to hunting accidents!!!

Talk about filling up the back of a toyota p/u.....We had 3 grown does, two climbers, and two bow cases in the back....It was STACKED!!

Me and my buddy Haven have permission to turkey hunt and bowhunt about 30 acres in Wilkes County...We scouted there late this morning and came back this afternoon...We hunted roughly 500 yards from one another...He was hunting the backside of a field with a pear tree that is loaded...His first deer came out pretty close to 7pm...He drilled her with his new montec G5 mechanical and dropped her in her tracks...Then he proceded to call me on my cell phone to tell me...There was one problem though...I couldnt answer because I had a big doe feeding on persimmons about 15 yards from me...She finnaly gave me a broadside shot and the rocket hammerhead did its part...She ran justa short ways and crashed...While I was dragging her out Haven called me back and told me to bring the flashlight because he had shot another deer...It took us a while (45 min) to find this one but we got her....He had hit her high in the lungs...She didnt bleed that much...Pretty good afternoon if you ask me...The man that lets us hunt was happy because the deer had really worked on his garden...and of course we told him how much we appreciated just getting the opertunity to hunt his land...Haven saw 11 this afternoon and i just saw the one....But she didnt live to tell any of her friends about us...BTW We shot 3 deer this afternoon with 3 different broadheads....rocket hammerhead for me....Montec G5 and Satalite 100 fixed for Haven...

Good deal, Arrow... Sounds like y'all had a good time. By the sound of it, lots of people didn't even see anything this weekend. It seems the hunting Gods smiled upon you and Haven... :D

AL? You left that wide open didnt you?? We would love to video some....Only problem is we both want to be the shooter...Actually we did it once...He had the camera and i had the bow....We had a doe come right under us and he kept telling me he had her anytime I wanted to take the shot.....Just as I drew back and she cleared some brush he old me the battery went dead in the camcorder!! I released the arrow and drilled her!! She only ran 30 yards...That was some luck huh?? Weve got footage right untill i shot her..

Lots of persimmons and pears on this property....We're gonna let it rest all week and try it again next weekend if the weather permits...
