Late in the evening while scouting out locations in south Alabama, a small flock of cedar waxwings found me (about where they found me the year before!). It was very late in the year for them to be in south Alabama (but then again, it was really late in the year for me to see a smaller flock of 6 in my yard 2 days ago!). They were feeding on yaupon holly berries at about eye level. I got my gear out & this one stopped on a black cherry sapling for a picture - I just wish that he had been tilted so that I could see the pretty "wax" patches on his wing!
