Every year about this time, I go to Jax,Fl. We cross over many creeks and rivers on I 95. I rarely ever have seen any boats or people fishing. I assume the water is brackish. What's in them to catch, and why aren't there a lot of boats on them? I see many, what appear to be jugs. Are they for crabs or catfish.
Thanks

A lot of it is brackish.... There are probably more redfish in those creeks than alot of people know about. Also, Stripers aint scared to be up in the I-95 Creeks in GA!
The floats you see are blue crab pots.

Mike if you drive down in the fall and winter months you'll see a few boats fishin. the jugs are crab trap floats. There are all sorts of fish that inhabit these creeks, reds, trout, flounder, drum and rockfish.

No boats is a good thing, that is the beauty of the Georgia coast!

I agree it's beautiful down there. But I always thought it would be cool to launch a canoe or kayak with fishing gear.....and a lot of sunscreen in some of the smaller creeks.
