Just in,
South Atlantic Update: Got it today from SMFMC:
" During its March 2010 meeting, the Council agreed to send a letter to Secretary of Commerce Gary Lock regarding the concerns about the need for mbetter data to meet the requirements of the reauthorized Magnuson-Stevens Act-and the impacts of regulations necessary to meet those requirements. A complete copy of the letter is available online at www.safmc.net" So said: Council Chairman, Duane Harris.
Further:" We respectfully request that adequate funding be provided so that NMSF and the Councils can do the job Congress had outlined."
Aside: In the meantime, let's close down all fishing, that's the ticket. Err on the side of caution, that's it!!!
