:yeah:We went fishing with Capt. Richie today and had a blast.:fine: We started out catching podies but the Capt. wasn't real happy with the size of the bait. We couldn't find anymore so we went ahead witah what we had. We caught a few sharks in one spot and went off after one loan shrimp boat and found the BIGGER BAIT. We found two large polds of bait and threw the net again. We fished around the bait with no luck so we moved back to the where we caught some earlier. Jackpot, we starte catching themm so fast we about couldn't keep up with them. they stayed hot for awhile but then they turned off again. I think the biggest one was around 60-65 pounds. we had one that straightened the swivel (I don't remember what size swivel it was but it busted). We had a few that pulled so hard we couldn't pick the rod up off the side of the boat. Them things would get close to the boat and take off again. We decided to call it a day and head in and get some lunch. After we left the marina we stopped for a quick bite to eat and then head back to Lakeland. Most everybiody slep on the two hour ride home so when we got home I crashed!!

Anybody looking for a good trip near Jekyll I sland ought to give Capt. Richie Lott acall. Both him and Addison are great people. They are both first class.

Yep, INSANE bite after we got bigger bait... No question that having that bigger bait helps out ALOT with this type of fishing. We had Blacknose (browns), Finetooth, Blacktips in a frenzy in the late morning and early afternoon. I have no idea how many we caught, but it was well into double digits. Just a good solid flood tide bite...

Seas were near flat calm ,on the beach and we all had a great day....

Enjoyed it and thanks for coming, guys..! I am glad ya'll had a good time.

I think the one in the pictures was the biggest one and I think we caught about 12 or 15, I know everybody had at least 2 and some had 3. No telling how many we would have caught if we had the big bait to start off with.

It was certainly worth it.

How do you get those hooks out? Those are a little big for the upside-down trick. Looks like alot of fun.

Yep, there are about 3 boats out of the 20 boats trawling there that stay RED HOT on the brown/green water change @ 20-30 ft. When some of those old woodies are in there, you can almost count on hooking up...
