Only 3 of us hunted sat. I saw the same spotted fawn 3 times sat. morning and again in the afternoon. My partner saw a button head and a bunch of turkeys. Sat. afternoon we had a gobbler sounding off all afternoon about 150-200 yards from me.
Sunday morning I hunted a fresh rub and scrape. I only saw a doe and a small,1 1/2" spike. My partner saw 6 deer 2 buttons and the rest does.

What great weather to be in the woods this weekend! :bounce: I guess the deer didn't think so! The only one I saw was a doe I jumped while walking up to a tree i was climbing to saw off limbs and get it ready for gun season. She came tearing out of the mature oaks, crossed in front of me and hauled butt through the select cut like the devil himself was after her. I watched her run over 2 hills, tail tucked, ears laid back and low to the ground!

Saw two large bucks Sunday morning. I just went down Sunday morning to check on things before muzzleloader starts. The smallest was a pretty 8 pt about 16 or 17 inches wide. He pawed out a scrape about 30 yards away and walked within 20 yards, but wouldn't turn broadside before rentering the brush. He got a little nervous and trotted off. That is when I noticed there were two bucks. The second was a really nice buck, but I couldn't tell how big. I just know he was taller and wider. They came out of the pine thicket at about 10:00 a.m. I will leave em alone till muzzle loader season and then I will start hunting down there 4 or 5 days a week.

I was hunting a clear-cut where an30'06 would have been more reasonable. The only deer I saw came directly under my tree and she passed away quickly from an acute case of Mathews powered muzzy. She was an adult dry doe with apparently no babies.Other than her the only deer we saw were on the main club road feeding on persimmons at 11:00a.m.,while we were sitting on a tailgate talking about not seeing anything.Good luck and good hunting.

Hunted all weekend. All I saw was 3 does that milled around me sat. evening before dark. couldn't get a shot even though they were really close. they just wouldn't walk into a hole! My partner killed a nice doe sat. evening. He has 8 deer under his stand and finally got a shot at one of them.

;) I, hunted Thursday on a fild of derams.
At 7:pm I, saw a doe and two fawns come out into the field ,they were about 600 yards away. The doe kept looking behind her while they were feeding. At 7:20pm Mr. Big boy came out. He had a wide and tall rack . I am going back Sat. night and Sunday I will be back in the field of dreams.
