Need to hunt my dog

I have adopted a black lab who was trained to duck hunt.I would like to try him out with some one who duck hunts.I would hate for him to loose his training and talents.

Please PM me if any one who will let me and my dog enjoy the sport.If this will help out he wont eat his food until I tell him "eat".All I need is to be turned on to duck hunting and learn from from some one who knows duck hunting.

I hope there is some one out there willing to help.

Even those of us who hunt our dogs don't seem to be able to hunt them enough. I suggest you join one of the area retriever clubs - like Old South Hunting Retriever Club (see their website). You will make good hunting contacts, be able to continue your dog's training in their group training sessions, learn good tips for training on your own & be able to enter your dog in area hunt tests where hunting is simulated. Lots of fun for you & your dog.

i think the clubs are a waste of time, you always have some person who thinks they are the resident expert and they will ruin your dog quicker than anything cause they dont know crap..... get a crow tape and go out to a field and shoot crows that will give him some experience. go hunting as much as you can , get int touch with a professional trainer and see if you can throw birds for them in exchange for a little dog training....... that way you can have the right setups!
