An interesting article about research going on at UGA concerning what noises deer can actually hear although it looks like the project is mainly related to vehicle collisions in Ga.

In most situations deer can cross most state roads if traffic speeds are kept below 60 miles an hour. On a more narrow road the speed would have to be less.Now all you folks that was hit in the door by a fawn following it's mother can speak right up.

As far as driving slow, the insurance companies advise is to go to a deer a day limit.
