I went by one of the local Borders that is closing and lucked up and found the Orvis fly tying guide, and two other spiral bound tying guides.

Yeah, they filed for bankruptcy, unfortunately. My local Borders closed a few weeks ago. I picked up some good bargains.

Yes, it is sad to see nice book stores going under. That is were all the technology is becoming a double edged sword. I really like the two spiral bound books. Fly tying for Beginners and The Fly-tying bible are great. They have step by step photographed instructions for each pattern in the books. The Orvis Fly-Tying Guide gives basic instructions then gives the recipe with a photo of the finished fly.
