Finally found somewhere to keep the paddle!

Finally being able to stand and fish for periods at a time now, has provided another obstacle. The issues I was having were having to keep bending down for correction strokes and when the paddle was setting across the kayak it tended to slide off if I leaned to the side. We'll I wanted a way to keep the paddle at my side and not in the way. Going thru my gear I came across a magnetic keeper with a 5lb hold that was gonna hold my paddle instead of my net. This is still the proto type stage but with the magnet just tied to the shaft and the other clipped to the vest with a little lenght of cord works really good. The way it works is one end is placed on the front of the canoe and at arms length down the side the magnets will latch. And you dont even have to look down because you can hear it click.
