Was on vacation 2 weeks ago and had a bird cooked on a Weber and it was goood!Sooooo, borrowed one from a friend,(Iwill be buying one now, trying to catch a sale)and did my own today.I fried one to make sure I had something to feed everybody, then did an expierimental bird too.....Everybody liked it too. Here's how:put a small roasting pan centered on the bottom of the grill, fill around it with charcoal, light it and let it burn down to coals. For the bird:rub it with grease or butter all over, thus sealing the pores.rub on your flavorings(whatever you like,I used lemon pepper).Lay the bird on the grill with the breast up, above the roasting pan,not in it.Put the top on the grill and open the vents all the way.I did a 12 lb bird in 1hr 45 mins.A17lb takes about 2hr 15 mins. The key is keep the lid shut and don't poke at it etc, just let it go.I'm not an expert on this by any means so if someone has something to add please do,however I cooked 2 today one fried and one webered and they were both fantastic.Give it a try for something different, donnie
