"God on the Mountain" by Lynda Randle

This song always gets to me,

God on the Mountain

Life is easy when you're up on the mountain
And you've got peace of mind like you've never known.
But then things change and you're down in the valley.
Don't lose faith for you're never alone.
For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

You talk of faith when you're up on the mountain.
Oh but the talk comes easy when life's at its best.
But it's down in the valley of trials and temptation
That's when faith is really put to the test.
For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

I have recently been listening to Nicole Nordeman's song
"What If"
What if you're right
He was just another nice guy
What if you're right
What if it's true
They say the cross will only make a fool of you
And what if it's true

What if He takes His place in history
With all the prophets and the kings
Who taught us love, and came in peace
But then the story ends
What then

*But what if you're wrong
What if there's more
What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for
What if you jump
Just close your eyes
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise
What if He's more than enough
What if it's love

What if you dig
Way down deeper than your simple-minded friends
What if you dig
What if you find
A thousand more unanswered questions down inside
That's all you find

What if you pick apart the logic
And begin to poke the holes
What if the crown of thorns is no more than fokelore that must be told
And retold

*Repeat

'Cause you've been running as fast as you can
You've been looking for a place you can land
For so long
But what if you're wrong

What if you jump
Just close your eyes
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise
What if He's more than enough
What if it's love

What if it's love

These Thousand Hills- Third Day

My favorite is These Thousand Hills performed by Third Day on the Offerings(1) Worship Album. You can NOT listen to that song standing on top of a mountain in Alaska in any of the ranges and tell me honestly there is no God.
Here it is-

These thousand hills roll ever on
In footprints of a Mighty God
They bring me to my knees in praise
Amazing love, amazing grace

Was on a hill my Savior died
A broken heart, a bleeding side
Hill of the skull, Mount Calvary
The blood He shed, He shed for me

When heaven's hills at last I roam
Forever settle in my home
I'll join the saints around Your throne
Your kingdom, Lord, rolls ever on

These thousand hills roll ever on
Ripples of a coming storm
The morning star precedes the dawn
These thousand hills roll ever on

Keep on The Firin' Line

If you're in the battle for the Lord and right,
Keep on the firin' line,
If you win, my brother, surely you must fight,
Keep on the firin' line;
There are many dangers that we all must face,
If we die a fighting it is no disgrace,
Coward in the service he will find no place,
So keep on the firin' line.
Chorus
You must fight, be brave against all evil,
Never run, nor even lag behind;
If you would win for God and the right,
Just keep on the firin' line.
God will only use the soldier he can trust,
Keep on the firin' line,
If you wear a crown, then bear the cross you must,
Keep on the firin' line;
Life is but to labor for the Master dear,
Help to banish evil and to spread good cheer,
Great you'll be rewarded for you service here,
So keep on the firin' line.
Chorus
You must fight, be brave against all evil,
Never run, nor even lag behind;
If you would win for God and the right,
Just keep on the firin' line.
When we get to heaven, brother, we'll be glad,
Keep on the firin' line,
How we'll praise the Savior for the call we had,
Keep on the firin' line;
When we see the souls that we have helped to win,
Leading them to Jesus from the paths of sin,
With a shout of welcome, we will all march in,
So keep on the firin' line.
Chorus
You must fight, be brave against all evil,
Never run, nor even lag behind;
If you would win for God and the right,
Just keep on the firin' line.

Man, it changes all the time.

I Will Rise - Tomlin

That's one of my favs right now.

But the first thing that came to mind was one that I haven't heard in a long time. Not even sure why I thought of it.

It's called "If You Want Me To" by Ginny Owens - Live version

...when she gets to the "..and when I cross over Jordan, I'm gonna scream I'm gonna shout.." part, it's awesome.
