Larval Newt

This is an eastern newt or red-spotted newt larva - this is what they look like before they turn into a red eft for a while before they become adult newts.

I caught this fellow on a property that I was working on, and then put him in one of the cheap round fish bowls for a photo opportunity.

Things should slow down for me soon, and I can comment a bit more...

Nikon D3s, Nikkor 200 mm macro, f/22, 1/8th second, ISO 200, tripod with off-camera fill flash, cropped for composition.
