This is my first year bow hunting. I bought a bow about six weeks ago and practiced with it every day. It was drizzeling rain Saturday afternoon about 6 pm when a doe came out. I waited for her to get broadside which seemed like hours. I finally got my breathing under control pulled the bow back and set the pin and fired. It was a perfect double lung shot at 22 yards. Unbelievable the feeling that you get when all the practice pays off I was on cloud nine. I have fished and hunted for years and if I ever loose that feeling I get the night before I go fishing or hunting I think I will quit. You know when you cannot sleep and think about what could happen.

You gotta love it when a plan comes together and that's what bow hunting is all about, planning and preparation. All the little things have to come together in order to make a bow kill and you just proved you can do it.

Way to go and congratulations on a job well done!...

Good Deal brother......

First hunt and your SCORE!!!!!!!!!

The biggest thing to overcome is gettin' calmed down.......Once you get calmed down, all you do is put the shot where it needs to be.....

Good Goin' brother!!!!!!!

good job. to me, a bow kill is SO much more rewarding than a gun kill. you have to work much harder for it. guess it makes it that much sweeter.

2 seasons...it took me 6 seasons ::huh: and I went through two bows before I finally scored...I haven't let up yet...and I'm not going to, that is until I lose "that" feeling.

Congratulations ...way to take it to the next level.
