I made this boat paddle Saturday, Used poplar, after some of ya'll said it burned and stained well. Came out ok.

No, that was the first. I had an old paddle sitting in my shop. As I was sitting there trying to decide what my next project was going to be, I remembered seeing one in a resturant with a Deer carving on it. Well this is what I came up with. I got a couple who have seen it and want me to make them one. I found a nice trout pattern, I'm going to try next.

EON, I made the paddle out of poplar. Roughed it out with the jig saw and shaped it up with a file then lots of sanding. Took bout a half hour to make.
