Wild looking call

Just wanted to show this off, a friend in Tenn. made it from a casting I made, it is Jumping Cholla Cactus cast in Alumilite, I thought I would cast the cactus just for the heck of it to see how it would look when turned and I have to say that I was very plesantly surprised and top it off, it sounds great!

Man that is wild an cool looking.Very nice.So is it basically cast aluminum with a dye to make it look like that ? Never have seen anything cast aluminum like that before.

Not aluminum my friend, it is cast in Alumilite Resin.

color of blanks

They are cast in Alumilite resin in a number of colors, the resin turns real easy but the cactus in hard.

Can you explain what cast means and maybe how you do it?
