Got me a new toy today in the mail that I had order sometime ago. Kinda forgot I even ordered it.

It came as a kit and I just put it together and threw it a few times. This is my first Hawk and it is too cool!

Now I have to finish it and blue the head....

Nice poll hawk. If you don`t blue it, but just keep it free from moisture, over time it will get a nice patina on it that looks really nice.

www.caywoodguns.com $39.00 shipped but they have other options.

Nico I am thinking that maybe I can keep it oiled real good and keep it out of the elements. Have to look at some others and see what I want to do with it.

Glenn, you don`t even have to oil it, just wipe it off with a dry cloth when you get done usin` it. Look in the Hobby Forum under Custom Cutlery Collection and you can see what my three hawks look like.

No, it`s just a natural agin` process called patina that the steel gets. Due to the use that a hawk gets, any blue or brown that you put on it will soon be worn off.
