Well i gave it a go figured worst that could happen is it not work out in the long run and i'll have to sand it off... must say i'm pretty happy with it right now.

Thanks I meant to put on here that these were osage handled, I sanded em down made it a lil rough, applied TB3, put on the skins let them dry 24 hrs then descaled them with tape, then hit them with 5-6 coats of Krylon Crystal Clear.... i really like them.. plus I'd NEVER seen it done.. so we'll see how it holds up but for now they are rock solid

Very nice. Looks like you did it well. Love the copper.
I've only seen it done once before, many years ago but wasn't sealed with acrylic. Hope it holds up well.
