We finally got some rain and batch of cooler temps. We had about 25 standers and five dog men..we had some of the best races of the year , the dogs could really trail and jump this morning..we managed to get 5 , 3
Does an 2 small bucks...we let a good many deer go , had a swing an a miss at a big buck...good day to be a doghunter

Scott, glad to hear about the rain.....and the increased activity. I debated on deer or trout....and the trout won yesterday.

how many packs of dogs do yall normally have on a hunt day?

We have 7 dogmen , several are members of other clubs..there are normally only 4-5 packs..most of the time we only turn out 2 packs at the time...sometimes 3 packs if they are beagles....I wish we could track hunt a little more but its hard with a larger crowd...so we just cast them an hope we can get a biggun goin

dang. we've got so many dogmen in our club, it's tough to fit everyone into the 3 morning drives to turn out. we had 28 members bring dogs last weekend out of 40 signed in to hunt, with some members turning out on multiple drives.
