Do you folks in GA have to register boat, motor and trailer??

Here in SC we don't register trailers, or motors under 5 hp, or boats with no motor ( including electric trolling ).

Trailers are registered with the DMV when you buy a tag for it.

Boats must be registered with the DNR if they use mechanical propulsion, that includes trolling motors, unless they will only be used on private water such as a private pond.

Yep. And also know this is true regardless of the length of the vessel. If it's only just 5 ft long......it must be registered if it has any type of electric or gas motor.

As already Mentioned, Trailer has to have a tag, acquired through local county tax/tag office, boat must be registered through State Dept. of Natural Resources if it has any type of electric or fuel powered compulsion and fees are based on the length of the boat.

Any manual powered row or paddle boats does not have to be registered.

The Outboard or electric motors does not have to be registered, not yet anyway.

I have got some good buys on engines in S.C. over the years because the seller couldn't produce a title, some from a dealer/mechic in your area. Havin' a buddy at the DNR that will run the numbers helps with not gettin' a stole one !! From what I understand, getting a title straightened out over there is a real hassle iffin there is the slightest glitch !!
