Our local feed and seed man told us to plant some lupine this year. He swears by the stuff. From what I gather its a pea lookin seed that grows like a grass. We planted about 20#'s of it through out some of our other stuff. Just curious if anyone had ever had any luck with it???

One of the clubs I was in planted it a couple times. Never noticed any increase in deer traffic. It seemed to come on strong in early spring. Check it out carefully before you plant it if there are cattle around however. Some lupines are toxic to cattle.

I have planted Blue Lupine in the past. Our deer love it. Mix it with the winter crop.
