While scouting for turkey is it legal to carry while doing so?

I think the regs address it. I'd be more concerned about carrying a bottle of water and a lunch.

if its small game you can carry a rimfire if its big game you can carry centerfire if nothing is open to hunt then you cant carry a hunting weapon ex shotgun or rifle all of this info is in the ga reg book they are free at walmart or any sporting goods store
