Missouri!

About to fly home from Missouri. Was another great trip and despite some storms and cold weather I managed to kill my limit. Saturday morning I called in a group of 5 crazy gobblers but they never came closer than 75 yds. Sunday got on a bird that was covered up in hens, no luck. Monday had a bird hang up in a pasture just over the hill hammering I tried fanning him and got close but got busted and missed. I moved to another pasture and had a bird hammer in a small valley. He gobbled at every call and I killed him 5 mins later.

The next morning I set up in a log pile in a pasture where I saw a strutter the afternoon before. As a thunder storm approached I was able to call in a hen with a big strutter in tow.

This is big beautiful country in southern Missouri. Those hills can be rough on you.

All in all a great trip. The folks who live out there we hunt with are great friends. They are truly the salt of the earth. They bend over backwards to help us and let us hunt there land and ask nothing in return. Blessed to call them friends!
