This may be an off the wall request but, nothing ventured nothing gained.
My son is working with the Cub Scout troop which my grand son belongs to. The Cub Scouts have a jamboree for his pack and three other packs at Lake Oconee on 10/25-27. There are 4 dens per pack. There will be many activities including fishing. My grand son's den is doing a fishing class for the entire pack. It will be done one den at a time and there are 25 or so scouts in each den. My son has a few youth combos but not enough for 25 scouts.
Does anyone have any suggestions how their pack might go about getting 12-20 combos donated? Zebco 33s would be ideal because of reliability and to avoid down time for repairs. There are no plans for them after the jamboree but I thought it would be a good idea to either give one to each scout in his den for helping or to simply keep them for next year.
We all know IT IS GREAT TO TAKE A KID FISHING!! Here is a chance to get a bunch of Scouts started early.
