I've been seeing tracks from a larger deer the last 2 weeks around a swamp. No large rubs, some smaller trees, just these large tracks. Sunday evening I sat from 3 until 5 and the wind was howling so I decided to walk the creek on the way out. I spotted the deer from about 400 yds crossing a field and ran up to a terrace to see him enter the swamp at a large honeysuckle clump. Two hot doe grunts and he had to peek out which gave me time to find him with my scope, and a Nosler Ballistic tip. 8 points with a broken tine only 12" inside but they form a basket and almost touch in front. Mostly a verticle rack. Weighed 135 lbs, but he had the biggest hooves I've seen on a deer this size!
