Went out in the yak today before the rains came. In two hours landed 44 lost at least that many and had twice the blowups. Unreal top water fly action today...
I let em all go but next trip I won't....

The rod is 20+ yrs old from Walmart. Nothing special. The reel is 40+ yrs old as well. I went looking for gar to shoot n took the fly rod just in case. Would have been a mistake w out it....

Martin what a bunch of bigguns ya got there. I've got to find me someplace to catch some of those big blue ones like that. Up here they don't get that color phase. Nice ones, and there's nothing like it on a fly rod! That's a huge warmouth.
