Kyle got his first deer Saturday around PM on the Dawson Forest adult/child hunt 7pt #85lbs one shot with 7X30 Waters T.C. the only problem was that the deer gained weight as we pulled him out-- a 3 hour drag- after the 1st hour we decided even though we both still could shoot a doe/bear (or me a buck) if it wasn't standing by the truck it wasn't going to get shot by either one of us

Dad was more than tired by the end of that drag the GPS said 650 yds "as the crow flies" to the truck but there were 4 very , very steep hills in that distance and no direct way so we had to zig-zag-- about half way there we were hoping a BEAR would claim the buck and we would just leave the 1.5 hour drive home didn't help either!!!!
