HVAC Question

I have a couple of questions I would like to ask some of you HVAC techs. I have a new heat pump, 2 ton-16 seer. Heating 2 upstairs bedrooms above a downstairs with a gas furnace. I know there are a lot of variables with a heat pump, but there should be a minimum that I should expect. What should the minimum temp be out of my closest vent? What should the rise be between my return and the same register? What temp should I expect with the heat strips on? Thanks in advance.

It's hard to say. Your delta t will change according to outdoor conditions but with the newer 410a systems you should get around 30 degree delta t with 40 degree outside temp.

In Ga the only time those strips should come on is in defrost or an extreme condition outside, such as below zero temps for hours....unless someone likes to play with the thermostat. A heat pump works best by setting a temp and leaving it.

Are you fishing for another answer? Do you suspect trouble with your unit?

on average you should get 90-105 heat pump, and 115-130 with strips on. LP
