ID this bicycle

My dad bought this bike at a yard sale cause it looked unique. Can anyone ID it. There is no name and the head badge is gone. The only ID is the serial number on the crank (6H414275). Right in front of the seat on the frame is two wing nuts that connect the front half to the second half. It is also a two speed (best I can tell) with a toggle under the seat to change gears.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mods - I put this here cause I thought there maybe somebody that tinkers with restoring bicycles and they might venture here to the hobby section. If it needs to be moved - have at it.
