Caliber Comparison .308 vs. 30-06

that is another thing that I don't understand and that is how one is more accurate than the other. if the 06 isn't as accurate, couldn't it be the setup or load being used. Aren't the .30-06 generally 1:10 and don't that like the heavier bullet...175gr+

I've found 180 grain performs better at ranges to 200
on paper. The 165's seem to fly but haven't shot them long range but still in the ballpark. With 165's in 308 you can drill it to 200. With less kick. No way I could shoot my 06 sixty times in competition and be accurate.

:)I don't compete...but I can't shoot 60 rounds of .308 in a day...fouling has decreased the accuracy by then in my rifle
