Going with my son on his first gator hunt next month, looking for ideas on mounts, thinking skull or skull with hide on. Anyone had belts, boots, etc. made. Would love to see pics. Thanks!

I liked the rug more than any other options. You can have a felt bottom but I opted out. Chris Fortner did mine

Same here, skull mount with a guy out west. Super good dude to deal with and cheap! He uses beetles and price includes return shipping.

We used Edgemon Crockett. The more you have made, the lower the cost per item so it's hard to say what the exact cost per belt or wallet.

For the skulls we used Southern Skull Works in Chatsworth.

I've also done a few with denatured alcohol and then put in reptile taxidermy eyes and sprayed with polyurethane. I tried doing my own Euro mount, but gator bones have lots of joints and fall apart if you boil them too long or too hot.

White Stag did my skull.
The knife was a custom. I had a piece of my alligator hide used for the inlay in the sheath.
