South End of Lake Oconee

Hello all, going to Oconee this weekend with some friends. We usually put in at Hwy 278, Granite Shoals, or Sugar Creek. We are wanting to try further south down by the dam. 1) what’s the best boat ramp to go to? And 2) what are the depths down there? Thanks

There is a ramp close to the d-am called Lawrence shoals, but Long Shoals Boat Ramp is a closer drive for me and it is a nice ramp. Check out the Navionics webapp to see the depths on the lower lake. Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and make sure to click on the blue button on the lower left of the map and change it to Sonar Charts.

Look into getting the Navionics Mobile App. Among many other things, it will show you all the ramps on a lake, as well as marina's and other points of interest. Great app!
