Chattahoochee WMA closure

Please help me in calling regional staff to get the gates open for small game season. The wma is still gated off up top by Unicoi after some torrential flooding we had early August.

I don't think any amount of calling will make a difference. Between the tornado and mudslide they're talking like it'll be 2019 before the road is fit for traffic between 17 and FS 44c. It's the USFS that handles road maintenance anyway so regional dnr can't do much.
Besides, you can hunt from a closed road. Easier for walking and shooting squirrels
