This is a picture of an English Setter that I owned back in the 1970s the day he became a champion. He was an excellent bird hunter too. His litter mate sister became the first duel champion for show and field trials in the USA.

PS: There were 14 pups in his litter.

Setters are the classic bird dog to me. My father ruin me from ever wanting one by making me deburr his setter every night after he hunted her. That is a beautiful dog. Do you have any of that bloodline still?
