Pa. Hunt

Just made it back from hunting in Pa. I managed a nice 6pt. and a big doe. The best buck in our group was a fair 8pt.
The amount of deer sighted was way down. My brother and nephew didn't see a single deer opening morning. However another nephew hunting his dad's stand saw 18 deer opening morning before he took the 8pt. I saw 14 deer total opening day, 12 that morning. They are complaining just like we are of low deer numbers. Although buck sightings are up. This is due to at least a 3pt. (one side) rule across the state, while several western counties have have a 4pt. (one side) rule.

I wouldn't consider 12 deer sightings a bad day ;)

From the reports I've been hearing all year. Archery and Rifle season the deer sightings are down. But there are some big buck around for sure.

I usually hunt Clarion county.
