The Turkeys are Huddlin' In the Rain...

Sitting here watching a flock of poor old turkeys out in the pasture enduring all this rain and high winds here in West Cobb. They are all lined up on the off-wind side of a privet hedge row along a fence line trying to get out of this wind... They are kinda' hunkered down and not moving an inch for the past 10 minutes or so... I watched 5 does bed down in the same place last year when we had the snow and high winds... Must be a good place to weather a storm for the animals...

The next thing you know, Tom will be planting a fence row thicket on the hunting lease. Briars, brambles, wild cherry, honeysuckle, the whole nine yards. Just put up a concrete block house with a heating stove, and you'll be set for rough weather hunting.

Hey Skip...

We've already got that stuff on the lease - I just need to remember them next time it's windy... :p
