Question about "SUNFLOWERS"?????

How in the heck do the deer "POP" the Sunflowers open to get the little nut in the shell?????? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Not to mention them "spittin" out the shell......

How do they do that???? ::huh: :bounce: :p ;)

Many years ago, I had a girlfriend that could take a cherry with a stem on it, pop it in her mouth, eat the cherry, and tie the stem in a knot with her tongue.

I don't know what that has to do with your question.

I didn't even know that they would mess with sunflowers after they headed out until this year. Saw many post about this. I have planted some sunflowers behind the house for viewing and this year was the first where the deer ate them after the seeds matured. They really wiped them out.

Hntrchk eats sunflower seeds while she is on her stand. Last year the deer would come to the base of her stand and eat the salty shells she had spit around the base of her tree!

I accused her of hunting over bait :p

HT2 - I think they just eat the whole thing!

Yeah, I've been know to munch on some seeds myself while huntin'.....

Of course you gotta have some water with 'em too.....

Man, eatin' seeds without some water is rough..... :p
