What to mix with Durana?

I'm going to seed 2 new plots this weekend. Plowed them 2 weeks ago. My long term goal is to have a year-round plot with the Durana. I realize the Durana I am planting now won't be really huntable until next season and that's okay. But I do want to add something to it that I can hunt over this season. Oats, wheat, rye? English peas? What do you all recommend, What ever it is I want it to die out in the spring and let the Durana take over.
Thanks in advance

A little rye and wheat with some arrowleaf and a little red clover for the turkeys and you should be set for the duranna to take over come spring. You can bushhog the wheat, arrowleaf and oats once they seed out. By then the duranna should have a good foot hold.

What Sandra

said is good. I've planted it and mixed it with the IWC stuff, that works well also. I think Dixie crimson and new zealand white would work well also. I worry about the thach too much for my own good.
