How do stripes and bass have different levels?
They eat the same thing live in the same water.

It's the amount that builds up in the fish over time. Striped bass get larger faster than largemouth, therefore the time necessary to accumulate higher levels is not reflected until the striped bass is much larger than a largemouth of the same age.
