We'll be giving it one last shot I reckon. I got a few does for the freezer so whether or not I hunt or shoot anything else is up in the air, but I'm going for my son to have another chance. Gonna be chilly

As a club, we did pretty well this season with 3 bucks taken, 2 of which were 4.5 yr olds and the other was a 5.5 yr old.

Went down to the lease yesterday with my buddy and son .
Released a dozen quail and then went back to camp and did some clay pigeon shooting for awhile. We went back out ot the woods to hunt the quail and my buddies dog did great...
out of the 12 birds we shot 5. they are not hard to hit but are sure easy to miss Had a good day. Looked arround for sheds but didn't find any.

We have a wild covey on our lease also but we don't hunt anywhere near them. We have been bringing birds down for 2 years now and about a third of them have survived our efforts and the predators to hunt them. We are starting to see more birds each time we go down. They tend to hang arround the camp after we leave, i think because the local predators don't come near camp as much.

Anyone get any storm Damage in the last 2-3 weeks? Went down this past weekend to do some work and our tractor shed got blown away. Had some trees across some roads and snapped into as well. It was surprise to us, we had no idea that there was bad weather near our hunting area. Also... Found 1 shed this weekend as well.
